In July, rhubarb is coming to an end, however strawberries and gooseberries are ready to be picked. Delicious New Brunswick blueberries can be harvested between mid-August and mid-September. What’s better in this hot summer weather than a homemade fruit pie or crumble with a scoop of ice cream!? Moxon’s Country Pumpkin in Maugerville has fresh homemade pies and baked goods made with local produce!

July is also a great time of year for family barbeques. Corn makes a great addition to any BBQ meal this summer, and fresh local tomatoes and spinach are perfect toppings for a burger! Also in season are green beans and carrots which are great for pickling, zucchini, peas perfect for freezing to have all year round, kale, green onion, garlic, and much more.
