“Hi from -30°C Montreal (still biking).”
That’s how longtime CCNB volunteer Justine Spits began an email to us this week. What an inspiration she is!
We’re halfway through February and Justine is still cycling as her main mode of transportation — through the busy streets of Montreal, no less!
Our friends in Fredericton might recognize Justine and her bike, she moved from the city to Montreal just last year. But when she came for a visit this past November, of course she brought her bike to get some winter biking in here, too.

This week she participated in “Vélo sous Zéro” in Montreal, an event organized by a winter cyclist group with more than 5,000 members on Facebook.
“I would do anything to try to convince people that it’s not that hard,” she says. “Really, if you can cross-country ski, you can bike in the winter!”

Or, like Justine, you can bike to your favourite trail and do both!

Thanks for the pictures and the inspiration, Justine!
