This sculpture was designed to celebrate the forests of the world and to bring a modern whimsical feel to the issue.

Using the Tree Ent from the Lord of the Rings trilogy and blending it with a short story about these whimsical creatures of the forest brings the conversation to reality; without the forests of the
world we would not be here. But with them, we are stronger than we could ever be. We need to replace what we remove.

The United Nations has declared March 21 as the International Day of Forests.

  1. The Forests of the world are considered home to 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity.
  2. They provide 75–100 billion US $ per year in goods and services such as clean water and healthy soils for all to enjoy.
