Message from the Conservation Council of New Brunswick team

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]To our members, supporters, partners and friends, across New Brunswick and the world: I hope you and your loved ones are well.

We are sharing with you our efforts to “flatten the curve” and help prevent the spread of COVID-19 here in New Brunswick.

Following the recommendation of our Chief Medical Officer of Health on social distancing, all Conservation Council of New Brunswick staff members are working from home for the next two weeks. As you know, the situation with COVID-19 changes by the hour, and we will re-evaluate the office closure on an ongoing basis.

We want to assure you that our team — based in Fredericton, St. Andrews and Moncton — will continue to work full-time on your behalf during this period to advance the important environmental policy improvements our province needs.

Our collective response to this crisis will call upon our resilience and ability to take care of one another. I know that, as New Brunswickers, we can rise to the challenge.

And we are already seeing this, in beautiful and inspiring ways, in New Brunswick and across the world. From the jaw-dropping scale of the COVID-19 response to the heartening outpouring of support, kindness and generosity in our communities, this crisis is showing the people of the world that we can pull as one and make fundamental changes to our lives and societies in order to keep each other safe.

This is the type of determination, strength, courage and action we will need to meet the climate emergency in the time ahead.

And we’ll need with us, probably more than ever, to do our part in making this happen. You can act with us to protect New Brunswickers’ health and safety and build more resilient communities by visiting our website, reading our email updates, and following us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram[/vc_column_text][vc_cta h2=””]The following are some good reads and interesting videos to help keep us sharp while staying safe with social distancing.

  • Tired of the Netflix rotation? Check out the videos section of our website or (head to our Youtube channel), where you’ll find lots of short, informative and interesting videos on topics such as renewable energy in our province, forestry practices, buying locally, getting active with kids outside, and engaging webinars from our staff and partners.
  • For the policy wonks out there, check out our Publications page for reports, briefings, and public policy interventions.
  • Want to use this time to get more familiar with the science, challenges and solutions to climate change? Our new climate action section has the resources you’ll need to help make a difference.
