Media Roundup: CCNB Urges Caution On “Rushed” And “Ad Hoc” Energy Projects

Sept. 1—Dr. Louise Comeau speaks to Global New Brunswick about a joint letter Premier Higgs and the other Atlantic premiers to the federal government asking for an extension on the carbon price plan deadline—less than 24 hours before the provincial plans were due. 

Aug. 25—Dr. Comeau speaks to the New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal about the hydrogen production plan proposed for northern New Brunswick, and how NB Power plans to roll out enough renewable energy to meet both the plant’s needs and the domestic electricity needs of citizens.

Aug. 24—Dr. Comeau speaks to the New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal about the Port of Belledune’s, along with ports in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, efforts to re-imagine themselves as the world moves to non-polluting energy systems. “We are seeing competition among ports for their futures as they hustle to replace products like oil and coal,” Comeau said.
