Media Advisory: Conservation Council’s Dr. Qureshi Available to Comment on N.B. Power Comprehensive Review

What: Dr. Moe Qureshi, the Conservation Council’s director of climate research and policy, will be available to comment on the release of the provincial government’s comprehensive review of N.B. Power, Fit for the Future.

When: Monday, March 30, from 2-4 p.m. AST.

Who: Dr. Moe Qureshi, Director of Climate Research and Policy.

Why: The newly released N.B. Power review outlines major structural challenges facing the utility, including rising electricity rates, high debt, governance issues and the need for significant system transformation. Dr. Qureshi can speak to the report’s findings, what they mean for New Brunswickers and how the province can move toward a more affordable, reliable and clean energy future.
