Climate Change Town Hall Meeting in Moncton

Have a say on what you think Canada should be doing on climate change.

Ginette Petitpas-Taylor, Member of Parliament for Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe, will be hosting a public townhall meeting on a National Climate Strategy on July 14, 2016.

Check out the Conservation Council’s Climate Action Plan for ideas on transitioning to a low-carbon economy that creates jobs and sustains families and communities.

Here are the details:

When: Thursday, July 14, 2016, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Where: Moncton Lions Community Centre, 473 St. George Street, Moncton

The consultation will be structured into small group discussions on the following topics:

Group 1: What have been your own personal experiences with the impacts of climate change?

Group 2: What are some of the solutions to reducing greenhouse gases that you would like to see governments, businesses, and communities implement?

Group 3: What are your ideas to both grow the economy and create jobs at a local level while reducing emissions?

Group 4: What can Canada do to better adapt to the impacts of climate change and to support affected communities, including Indigenous communities?
