Forests need to be better managed, groups say

“Environmentalists and woodlot owners have grave concerns with the status quo of New Brunswick’s forest industry, but the Forest Products Association of Canada president says it’s poised for a promising future.”

The Conservation Council of New Brunswick’s Tracy Glynn said a public survey commissioned by the Department of Natural Resources showed that New Brunswickers valued protecting their waters and biodiversity before job creation, although that ranked highly as well.
