FREDERICTON – The Executive Director of the Conservation Council of New Brunswick is extending congratulations to Premier Gallant, and his newly appointed Cabinet Ministers, being sworn into power today by Lieutenant Governor Graydon Nicholas.

“We’d like to congratulate Mr. Gallant and all Cabinet members as they prepare to serve the best interests of the people of this province,” said Lois Corbett, Executive Director of the Conservation Council.

“We commend the Premier for the difficult choices he had to make with respect to appointing 13 representatives to form his Cabinet. His team has what it takes to tackle the tough jobs in a focused, nimble and rewarding role as Ministers of the provincial government.”

Corbett said she’d like to extend an especially warm welcome to the Ministers who will take on departments overseeing the environmental, economic, energy and education portfolios.

“These are truly exciting positions to assume at a time when there is so much potential and opportunity to build a stronger, cleaner, and sustainable economy in New Brunswick,” Corbett said.

“All of us at Conserver House look forward to working with the new Premier, the Cabinet, and all elected representatives of the Legislative Assembly. I know that together we can do tremendous work to advance job creation, environmental protection and forge a clean, green future for the citizens of New Brunswick.”

Corbett is available for interviews with the media.
