Get out your clean energy wish list, New Brunswick. NB Power is mapping out its energy plan for the next 25-years and they want to know what your ideas, expectations and priorities are for New Brunswick’s clean energy future.
You can either fill out a short online survey focused on clean energy, affordability and customer options, or better yet, share your thoughts in person by participating in NB Power’s community dialogue session scheduled in April.
NB Power updates its 25-year Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) every three years to reflect new technology, changes in customer demand and fuel pricing. The IRP will be submitted to the province and the Energy and Utilities Board later this year.
Your input will help decide:
- NB Power’s role in climate action as we move fossil fuels to clean energy.
- The public’s role in managing energy use, generating it, or storing it.
- Ways to help NB Power meet energy needs with at least 40% from renewable energy sources.
- Ways to help NB Power keep energy affordable, reliable and safe.
Fill out NB Power’s short survey on clean energy, affordability and customer options, here.
The deadline for comments is May 15th.
