The North Atlantic Right Whale is one of the world’s most endangered large whale species, with less than 380 individuals remaining. Right Whales are baleen whales, feeding on copepods (tiny crustaceans) by straining huge volumes of ocean water through their baleen plates, which act as a sieve. An interesting fact is that Right Whales can vocalize and make sounds such as whoops, screams and groans.

Popcorn is a Male Right Whale. His most distinct marking and reason for very cool but fun name: People think the bits of callosity on his head look like popcorn.
