Comme stipulait en 2007 le Plan d&rsquo;action du Nouveau-Brunswick sur les changements climatiques, il est essentiel \u201cd&rsquo;offrir aux gens du Nouveau-Brunswick des solutions de rechange pratiques \u00e0 l\u2019utilisation de leurs v\u00e9hicules priv\u00e9s et pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 leurs besoins de d\u00e9placement\u201d. Nous travaillons \u00e0 faire de cela une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 et \u00e0 assurer un transport en commun qui, en plus d&rsquo;\u00eatre commode, sera accessible, efficace et abordable.<\/p>\n<p>Le Canada est un pays extr\u00eamement \u00e9tendu, o\u00f9 la population doit parcourir de longues distances\u00a0pour faire des courses, aller \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9cole, travailler et s&rsquo;adonner \u00e0 des loisirs. Les N\u00e9o-Brunswickois\u00a0sont particuli\u00e8rement d\u00e9pendants de leur v\u00e9hicule personnel. Cette d\u00e9pendance devient de plus en\u00a0plus co\u00fbteuse, ce qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 fort bien illustr\u00e9 en 2008 quand le prix de l&rsquo;essence a grimp\u00e9 en fl\u00e8che.\u00a0La m\u00eame ann\u00e9e, le transport a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 13.6% des d\u00e9penses des m\u00e9nages canadiens. Au\u00a0Nouveau-Brunswick, c&rsquo;\u00e9tait 17%. En m\u00eame temps, tout ce combustible a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 35% du\u00a0budget des \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre. Le secteur du transport routier au Nouveau-Brunswick\u00a0a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 22% du total des \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre de la province.<\/p>\n<p>Augmenter les investissements dans le domaine des transports en commun fonctionne, comme on\u00a0peut le constater \u00e0 Vancouver o\u00f9 60% des gens laissent \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent leur v\u00e9hicule \u00e0 la maison. A moins\u00a0que nous ne travaillions activement au d\u00e9veloppement de nouvelles options, notre d\u00e9pendance\u00a0vis-\u00e0-vis des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9nergivores continuera \u00e0 mettre le climat en danger et \u00e0 ronger nos budgets<br \/>\ncarburant.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nous croyons en un transport en commun abordable et accessible.
