The Milton F. Gregg Awards have been presented by the Conservation Council annually since 1981 to deserving individuals and organizations who have contributed to protecting New Brunswick’s environment.

The award is given in memory of Milton F. Gregg who was a founding member of the Conservation Council and had a particular concern for the health of the Saint John River. Gregg served as federal cabinet minister, diplomat and Chancellor of the University of New Brunswick.

Nominations are sought in three categories:

* Lifetime Achievement for a body of work over time

* Activism for leadership on a particular issue or campaign

* Organizational achievement

All nominations must be accompanied by a letter describing the candidate’s achievements. Email nominations to info@conservationcouncil.ca or mail to CCNB 180 Saint John Street, Fredericton, NB E3B 4A9.

Deadline to nominate your eco-hero is July 31, 2014.

The Gregg Awards will be presented at an awards night in the fall. Details to be announced.

Chaque année depuis 1981, le Conseil de Conservation attribue le Prix Milton F. Gregg à des personnes ou à des organisations méritantes qui ont contribué à la protection de l’environnement au Nouveau-Brunswick.

Le prix est décerné en mémoire de Milton F. Gregg qui était un des membres fondateurs du Conseil de Conservation et avait un intérêt particulier pour la vie du Fleuve Saint-Jean. Milton F. Gregg a occupé le poste de ministre fédéral, de diplomate et de Chancelier de l’Université du Nouveau-Brunswick.

Des nominations sont sollicitées dans trois catégories :

* Accomplissement individuel pour un ensemble de travaux

* Militantisme : leadership sur une question particulière ou dans une campagne

* Excellence organisationnelle

Toutes les nominations doivent être accompagnées d’une lettre décrivant les accomplissements du candidat. Envoyez les candidatures au CCNB par courriel à info@conservationcouncil.ca ou encore par courrier à l’adresse suivante: CCNB 180 Saint John Street, Fredericton, NB E3B 4A9.

La date limite pour désigner vos éco-héros est le 5 avril 2014.
