The Moncton-based Francophone author’s latest children’s book, Clawdy saves the forest  focuses on the important role young people can play when it comes to protecting our environment.

The book’s friendly furry hero, Clawdy the bear, is spurned to action when parts of her forest are clearcut by a large forestry company. She rallies the other forest animals to save their home.

Jean-Claude says the story serves to inspire hope in today’s children by showing, through Clawdy’s actions, that young people — and people of all ages — have the power to make positive changes in their communities.

Clawdy saves the forest is Jean-Claude’s fourth children’s book, each focusing on the challenges and triumphs of forest animals in the face of environmentally-degrading activities.
