FREDERICTON — The Conservation Council of New Brunswick has partnered with Bullfrog Power to run its Fredericton office at 180 St. John St. off 100 per cent clean energy.

The Conservation Council became a Bullfrog Power customer effective Oct. 1, 2015. By doing so, the province’s leading environmental advocate joins the likes of the David Suzuki Foundation, The Lung Association, The Canadian Red Cross and the Tragically Hip’s Gord Downie, among many others, as members of the bullfrogpowered community in Canada.

“We’re thrilled to say Conserver House in downtown Fredericton is now powered by 100 per cent green energy,” said Stephanie Merrill, acting Executive Director of the Conservation Council. “By joining the 10,000 others homes across Canada who’ve gone bullfrogpowered, we’re doing our part to support new clean energy projects in our communities and to keep harmful pollution out of the atmosphere.”

Since founding in 2005, Bullfrog Power has put more than 3-million MWh of clean electricity and more than 4-million GJ of clean biogas onto Canada’s energy system, displacing 1.1-million tonnes of carbon pollution that would have contributed to climate change.

“Bullfrog Power is excited to add the Conservation Council of New Brunswick to the growing list of businesses and organizations that support the growth of renewable energy in Canada,” said Ron Seftel, CEO of Bullfrog Power.
