With the Conservation Council of New Brunswick celebrating our 50th Anniversary, this special edition of EcoAlert Magazine rolls back the clock to shine a light on the many campaigns and landmark public policy victories achieved by the Conservation Council and its supporters since founding in the fall of 1969.
“And because this is a flowing environment, these things move,” Associate Professor Janice Lawrence said.
“I think the important thing is providing as clear information as we can that this is a different scenario than we’ve seen in the lakes. It’s different than what we’d heard of before. People need to be aware of that when making decisions to spend time recreating on the water, until we have better guidelines we can provide everyone.”
“I think it’s an indication of a corporate agenda. If your business is about making money out of pulp and paper products, and the widespread use of glyphosate, then Rod is a problem for you. If you’re a corporate guy, you would ask ‘Why don’t we just fire the guy?’” Corbett told journalist Bruce Livesey in his July 11 story.
