Free screening of Water Warriors tonight

In 2013, a multicultural group of concerned citizens led by members of the Mi’kmaq Elsipogtog First Nation joined together to stop Texas-based SWN Resources from conducting shale gas seismic testing in Kent County, N.B.

Now four years later, we have an indefinite fracking moratorium in place, and the provincial government is working on a new water strategy that will help keep our drinking water clean and safe.

Water Warriors is a 22-minute short film documenting the movement to protect the water and local sustainable businesses in Kent County. A free screening is taking place tonight (Thursday, July 13) at 4 p.m. at the Elsipogtog Community Hall. Get the full details here.
