CCNB comments for ice storm review, meetings begin next week

Public meetings are being held the first week of April as part of a review of government and community response to the ice storm that hit the province in January.

Background:

Judy Wagner, Clerk of the Executive Council and head of the public service, is leading the review. Her report with recommendations is to be completed by July. It will be supported by internal reviews undertaken by the New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization, NB Power and officials from the Department of Health, as well as stakeholder and citizen feedback.

Dates and locations for the public meetings are as follows:

  • •April 2 –  2:00 p.m. – Polyvalente W.-A.-Losier, 585 de l’église St., Tracadie
  • •April 3 –  6:30 p.m. – Town Hall, 9235 Main St., Richibucto
  • •April 4 –  6:30 p.m. – Kinsmen Club, 100 Newcastle Blvd., Miramichi
  • •April 5 – 6:30 p.m. – Club d’age d’Or, 62 de l’école St., Lamèque
  • •April 6 – 6:30 p.m. – Club d’age d’Or, 8265 de l’église St., Bas Caraquet
