A diverse forest is our best defence: CCNB’s Tracy Glynn on coming spruce budworm outbreak

The Conservation Council’s forest program director, Tracy Glynn, was featured in a CBC story published on Oct. 4, on the subject of an imminent spruce budworm outbreak that scientists expect to hit in New Brunswick.

“We’ve simplified our forest for one that is a breeding ground for spruce budworm,” said Glynn.

“We need to move toward supporting a more diverse, resilient forest. That’s our best defence against pest outbreaks.”
