Coming Soon! Relaunch of Buylocal NB

We are really excited to let you know that we are on the cusp of re-launching our very popular BuyLocal NB campaign!

While our previous online local food directory has been down for a year, we have received countless inquiries as to when it is coming back. Well, just in time for the upcoming harvest season!

With generous financial support from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture, the Greater Saint John Community Foundation, and private contributions, we will be unveiling our new and improved searchable online directory buylocalnb.ca.

We have been working hard with the creative folks at Ginger Designs in Fredericton to create a crisp and functional new searchable database of local food producers and businesses. With help from some of our colleagues such as the Agricultural Alliance, National Farmers Union NB, The Food Security Action Network and others, buylocalnb.ca will be the place to go to meet your farmer, find local foods, and retailers selling locally grown and made products.

And that’s not all. We will be announcing exciting new partners and new tools to connect you with fresh local products in the future!

We are actively updating our producer and product database in anticipation of this launch. If you are a farmer or retailer of locally grown or crafted products please print and fill out a business profile below to make sure we include your business in our next edition of BuyLocal NB.  Email a scanned copy to  homegrown@conservationcouncil.ca, fax a copy to 506.458.1047, or  mail to: 180 St. John Street Fredericton NB E3B 4A9

The more food we source locally, the less it has to travel which reduces greenhouse gas emissions and your carbon footprint. Food purchased and produced in New Brunswick also helps to stimulate our local economy and contribute to better food security. We believe that once you begin buying locally, tasting the food’s freshness and meeting the people behind the food, buying locally will soon become a way of life!
